UghSongs is a personal practice app for singers and musicians. It is run by Solomon Apps ("we", "us"). This policy explains exactly what the app collects, why, where it is kept and how to get rid of it. If anything here is unclear, email support@ughsongs.com.
Account details. Your email address, your display name if you set one, and an encrypted password. We never see your password in readable form.
Content you create. Events, venues, bands, songs, versions, lyrics, notes, section maps, learning status and practice history.
Files you upload. Audio recordings, lyric images and sheet-music PDFs. These are stored in a private bucket under a folder keyed to your account and are readable only by you.
App activity. Basic in-app actions needed to make the app work, such as playback position, when a song was last practised and storage usage totals.
Support messages. If you contact us, we keep your message, the category you chose, your reply address and your app version so we can answer.
Notifications. If you turn reminders on, we store your device notification token, your reminder preferences and your time zone so reminders arrive at a sensible local hour.
Basic hosting analytics. Our hosting provider records aggregate visit information: pages viewed, how long a visit lasted, where the visit came from, a general device type and a country. It is not used to build a profile of you.
No precise location, no contacts, no advertising identifiers, and no tracking of you across other companies' apps and sites. UghSongs accesses the camera only when you choose to photograph lyrics or a song sheet, and the microphone only when you choose to record audio for a song. Photos and files are read only for the specific item you pick yourself. UghSongs does not access the camera or microphone in the background. We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
To create and secure your account, to store and show the content you asked the app to keep, to send the reminders you enabled, to answer support requests, and to protect the service against abuse such as spam uploads or repeated sign-in attempts.
Lovable Cloud (Supabase infrastructure) hosts the database, authentication and file storage. Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers push notifications to your device. Apple and Google handle any purchase you make in their stores, and RevenueCat tells us only whether your subscription is active. We never see your card details. Google Gemini is used only when you tap a feature that needs it, such as transcribing a lyric screenshot or generating lyrics from a recording. In those cases the specific image or audio clip is sent for processing and is not used to train models. An email delivery provider sends account emails, reminder emails and support replies. These providers act on our instructions and cannot use your content for their own purposes.
The lyric finder searches publicly available third-party sources for a song you name. Those results are shown for your personal rehearsal use and remain the property of their rights holders. If you are a rights holder and want something removed, email us and we will act promptly.
All traffic is encrypted in transit with HTTPS. Every table and every storage folder is protected by row-level rules tied to your account, so one user cannot read another user's events, songs, lyrics or recordings even by guessing an identifier.
Your content stays until you delete it or delete your account. Unused uploads that you never attached to a song may be cleaned up automatically after a period, and anything you mark as kept is never touched by that clean-up. Support messages are deleted within 12 months after the issue is resolved, unless a limited record has to be kept longer for security or legal reasons.
Open Settings and choose Delete account, or use the public page at ughsongs.com/delete-account without installing the app. Deletion removes your account, your events, songs, lyrics, notes, reminders and uploaded files. Backups roll off within 30 days. A minimal record that a deletion happened, with nothing identifying in it, may be kept for up to 12 months. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription, which must be cancelled in the store.
You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time. Email us and we will help within 30 days. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.
UghSongs is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If a child's account was created, email us and we will remove it.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way we will update the date above and, where the change matters to you, tell you in the app.
